Hintergrund gecenterte Tabelle rechts und links (gelöst)

Hallo
Ich bin Neuling im HTML Coden und habe nun einen Newslettter mittels HTML gemacht. Funktioniert auch super alles ist so wie ich es mir gedacht habe.
Eine Tabelle mit 5 Zeilen und den Inhalt habe ich mittelbündig dargestellt und er kommt auch so an wie er ist. Senden tue ich das ganze per Mimemail.
Jetzt möchte ich aber rechts und links von der Tabelle den Hintergrund auf #EEEEEE schalten funkt aber nicht wenn ich es in das DIV am Anfang einfüge macht er garnichts. Obwohl ja das DIV herum dann so seien Müsste oder?
Kann mir jemand da helfen ?

Da dort eine Table darüber liegt

müsstest du dieser auch die entsprechende Hintergrundfarbe geben.
Am besten nutzt du Firebug, um die Wirkungsweise genauer sehen zu können.
Natürlich kann es dir dann immer noch passieren, dass sich der IE anders verhält als Firefox und wieder anders als Chrome, Safari etc.
Bei der Interpretation von CSS gibt es teilweise erhebliche Unterschiede.

So hab es jetzt verstanden und den Hintergrund der TD Elemente auf FFFFFF gesetzt jetzt schaut es so aus wie ich es haben wollte!
Zuerst hatte ich den TD Elemente die bgcolor FFFFFF gegeben dabei blieb aber der Zwischenraum zwischen den Zeilen grau ... dann habe ich noch zusätzlich dem Table auch die bgcolor gegeben und das Ergebniss stimmt jetzt :-)
Danke für den Schupfer in die richtige Richtung !!!!
